Training in documentary research

If you require individual training or support, the librarians are at your disposal throughout the year for any training request.

The libraries offer according to your needs free training courses to master documentary research tools and techniques such as :
  • How to start a documentary research and find bibliographical references using the Library tools
  • How to find and use specific subject databases and how to access them
  • Find books or articles using the Library MegaSearch Tool 
  • How to use Zotero and write a bibliography
  • Or how to use your library account
If you wish to be trained in documentary research, inquire at the reception of your library or write to bu-formation@ml.u-cergy.fr

Training "flash" at the Chênes Library
These are short courses of about 10 minutes. They allow you to be more effective in your documentary research.

Training offer :
  • Use the MegaSearch library tool and find out how to identify and locate the documents necessary for your studies
  • How to access to Library E-resources
  • Legal databases: to learn how to search for a reference in the Dalloz, Lexis360 and Doctrinal databases

Training "flash" at the St-Germain-en-Laye Library

These are short courses of about 20 minutes. They allow you to be more effective in your documentary research.

Training offer :

  • Use the MegaSearch library tool and find out how to identify and locate the documents necessary for your studies
  • How to access to Library E-resources
  • Databases in human and political sciences: to learn how to search for a reference in the Isidore, Jstor Cairn, Persée, Europresse, Factiva, etc.
  • How to read and write a bibliography ?

Training accessible from the 1st to the 5th year of studies ! Registration is free but compulsory. Registrer at reception desk or please send us an email.

The Saint-Martin library offers on-demand documentary research training on the following topics:

  •      Documentary research methodology
  •      Use the catalog
  •      How to use the databases?
  •      How to read and write a bibliography?
