Retrospective : Transition Week in CY Libraries

Retro Transition Week
Retro Transition Week

As part of Transition Week, CY libraries offered a range of activities focused on key topics such as ecology, health, the circular economy, digital issues, and quality of life. This week allowed students and library users to explore, exchange ideas, and take part in different activities.

  • At Antony, a workshop on environmental topics was offered to students, with the aim of encouraging discussion and raising awareness.
  • At Les Cerclades, a selection of books on transitions was highlighted, allowing users to discover and explore these topics through the library collections.
  • At Les Chênes, a mandala workshop gave participants the opportunity to take part in a creative activity, while the object lending service was promoted throughout the week, encouraging more sustainable practices.
  • At Gennevilliers, the object lending service was also highlighted, helping to promote responsible use and the sharing economy.
  • At Neuville, a selection of books on transition topics, along with a workshop based on the game Aurora City, allowed participants to explore transition issues in a fun and collaborative way.
  • At Saint-Germain, an exhibition of posters created by second-year political science students showcased a variety of topics such as democracy, sustainability, migration, climate, and the health crisis. A selection of documents complemented this display.
  • At Sarcelles, several hands-on workshops took place throughout the week: decorating flower pots, repotting plants, and organising a library swap event. These activities encouraged exchange, reuse, and eco-friendly initiatives.
