The university library of CY Cergy Paris University is actually a network of nine libraries spread across different sites :  You will find more information about our BU and their specific features just here.

Our libraries constitute the Joint Documentation Service and make every effort to offer their students high-quality, accessible collections, services and spaces, promoting their academic success and everyday well-being.

 

Statutes and missions

In accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 2011-996 of 23 August 2011, the Joint Documentation Service has the following responsibilities:

• Implement the University's documentation policy, coordinate the corresponding resources and evaluate the services offered to readers. ;
• Welcoming students, teaching and research staff working at the university, as well as any other members of the public organise workspaces and consultation areas under conditions specified by the university's board of directors ;
• Acquire, report, manage and communicate documents and information resources on any medium ;
• Develop digital resources and promote their use, participate in the development of scientific and technical information, in particular through the production, reporting and dissemination of digital documents ;
• Participate, on behalf of users, in research on these various resources as well as in cultural activities ;
• Promote, through documentation and the adaptation of services, all initiatives in the field of initial and continuing training and research ;
• Cooperate with libraries that share the same objectives, regardless of their status, in particular by participating in union catalogues ;
• Train users to make the widest possible use of new techniques for accessing scientific and technical information.

A network of 9 university libraries is :

• 537,841 number of admissions in 2024–2025 ;
• 76,604 loans in 2024–2025 ;
• 30,973 room bookings in 2024–2025 ;
• 5,276 students trained over the past year ;
• 355 doctoral students and research professors trained ;
• 267 cultural activities implemented ;
• 192 databases ;
• 25 disciplinary guides ; 

Public services +

All university libraries at CY Cergy Paris University have been awarded the Public Services + label (Silver level) in April 2025, for a period of three years.
This certification reflects the daily commitment of the network's library teams.
It was obtained following several surveys, including a satisfaction survey aimed at university library users.
