As every year, it is important to remember how essential International Women's Rights Day is.
For this reason, the library has decided to highlight three portraits of women who made history, but above all three important figures who advanced women's rights.

A lawyer, feminist activist, and Franco-Tunisian politician, she defended FLN activists during the Algerian War and fought for the liberalization of abortion and the criminalization of rape.

A chemist specializing in ecocatalysis, she has developed an innovative method for cleaning up soil and water using plants.

An Austrian-American actress, producer, and inventor, she thought of a way to divert the frequency of torpedoes so that they would not be intercepted. This principle is currently used in cell phones and wireless networks, including Wi-Fi!
